Privacy Policy
We keep things simple: we only load basic analytics if you consent, and we don’t collect personal data for this site’s functionality.
Who we are
AI Ollama Helper is a community‑driven site that helps users run local LLMs with Ollama on Windows. This site is not affiliated with the official Ollama project.
What we collect
By default, we do not collect or store personal information. If you click “Accept” in the cookie banner, we load basic analytics (see below). We also store your consent choice locally on your device.
- Consent state (accepted/rejected) stored in your browser’s local storage.
- Basic analytics (page views and a few events like download button clicks) only after you consent.
Cookies and local storage
We use your browser’s local storage to remember your cookie preference (cookieConsent). This avoids asking you on every visit. We do not set marketing cookies.
You can change your choice anytime using “Cookie preferences” in the footer.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how the site is used, but it is loaded only after you click “Accept”. Until then, no analytics scripts are loaded.
- What we track: page views, and simple events like clicks on the download button.
- What we do not track: we don’t set user IDs, and we don’t collect text you type on the site.
- You can revoke consent anytime via “Cookie preferences”.
Your browser or extensions can also block analytics globally if you prefer.
Third‑party links
This site links to third‑party websites (e.g., the official Ollama download page). We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review their policies when visiting.
Data retention
We do not store personal data on our servers. Aggregated analytics data, if collected after your consent, is processed by Google under their policies. You can clear your local storage to erase your consent choice.
Your choices
- Accept or reject analytics in the cookie banner.
- Change your preference anytime via “Cookie preferences” in the footer.
- Use browser settings or extensions to block analytics scripts.
- Contact us if you have questions (see below).
